What is a speed bump? What are its requirements?

Speed bumps, also known as speed bumps, are traffic facilities installed on highways to slow passing vehicles. The shape is generally strip-like, but also point-like; the material is mainly rubber, but also metal; generally yellow and black to attract visual attention, so that the road is slightly arched to achieve the purpose of vehicle deceleration. The rubber deceleration belt is made of rubber material, the shape is a slope, the color is often yellow and black, and it is fixed to the road intersection with expansion screws, which is a safety facility for vehicle deceleration. The scientific name is called the rubber deceleration ridge, which is designed according to the angle principle of the tire and the special rubber on the ground when the car is running, and is made of special rubber. It is a new type of traffic-specific safety device installed at the entrance of highway crossings, industrial and mining enterprises, schools, residential quarters, etc. to reduce the speed of motor vehicles and non-motor vehicles.

General requirements for rubber speed bumps (ridges):

1. The rubber deceleration ridge should be integrally formed, and the outer surface should have stripes to increase adhesion.
2. Each deceleration ridge unit should have retro-reflective material that is easy to identify at night, facing the driving direction of the vehicle.
3. There should be no pores on the surface, there should be no obvious scratches, lack of material, the color should be uniform, and there should be no flash.
4. The name of the production unit should be pressed on the surface of the rubber deceleration ridge.
5. If it is connected to the ground by bolts, the bolt holes should be countersunk holes.
6. Each unit of the deceleration ridge should be connected in a reliable way.

The cross-section of the deceleration ridge unit in the width and height directions should be approximately trapezoidal or arc-shaped. The width dimension should be within the range of (300mm±5mm)~ (400mm±5mm), and the height dimension should be within the range of (25mm±2mm)-(70mm±2mm). The ratio of width to size should not be greater than 0.7.

The ideal rubber-plastic speed bump must ensure that the vehicle will not run out of control when the vehicle passes, and the important safety components will not be broken and other dangerous situations, and should have high driving and structural safety.
