Why is the water filled barrier called water horse?

water horse

In ancient times, the water horse was a kind of monster living in the water in myths and legends. According to the “Shan Hai Jing Bei Shan Jing”, it was named because it lived in the water and was shaped like a horse.
The current water horse is a plastic shell obstacle used to divide the road or form a barrier. Because it is made of PE through a blow molding machine, it is hollow inside and needs to be filled with water when used. Because it looks like a saddle, it is called a water horse.
The water horse is usually a structure with a small top and a large bottom, with holes in the top to fill with water and increase weight. Some water horses also have transverse through holes so that they can be connected by rods to form longer blocking chains or blocking walls.
The water horse is hollow and filled with water. It has buffering properties and can effectively absorb strong impact forces, greatly reducing the severity of damage to vehicles and personnel. When encountering an emergency on the highway, you can make full use of the water horse.
Water horses are generally used in road traffic facilities, and are common at highways, urban roads and overpass street intersections.
